POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Women's Soccer seeks to cap its three-game stay at Tenney Stadium at 2-1 with a Wednesday matinee vs. Niagara on October 9.

• After an 84-minute defensive display, Rider pulled away from Marist 1-0 on Saturday, October 5.
• The Red Foxes totaled 14 shots, seven of which came from sophomore Victoria Colatosti.

• Comparing this season to 2018, Marist has already drawn more corner kicks (77 to 74 in 2018).
• At its current rate, the Red Foxes have a better shot percentage than last year.

 

MAAC STATS

• Entering this week, sophomore Natalie Kelchner is tied for the most saves by a MAAC goalkeeper in conference play at 27.
• As a team, Marist is second in the MAAC in corner kicks, with 24 against conference competition.

 

SCOUTING NIAGARA

• The Purple Eagles sit at 6-4-1 overall and a 2-2 MAAC record.
• Niagara most recently defeated Manhattan 2-0. It has wins over the Jaspers and Iona (1-0), and losses to Fairfield (5-1) and Rider (5-0).
• Annie Ibey is their leading scorer with five goals and 11 points.
• Sabrina Locas has 49 saves and a 1.34 goals-against average in every minute this season.
• In the past six seasons, each team as traded wins, with the home team getting the edge. Since 2011, Marist is 5-3 against Niagara.
