POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist volleyball's senior outside hitter Megan Fergus earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season on Tuesday afternoon. The award was for her performance the week of November 19. This weeks awards were the last volleyball weekly awards of the season. 

In addition to winning this week, Fergus previously won the award two weeks in a row for the weeks of October 22 and October 15. This was after she won the award on October 1 as well. All three times she previously earned the honor, freshman Sophia Theriot also won the Libero of the Week award. In total this year, Marist players have won eight MAAC weekly awards. Four have been the Player of the Week awards from Fergus, and the other four have been Libero of the Week awards from Theriot.

Fergus closed out her senior campaign with another absolutely dominant performance, helping lead Marist to two big wins. Against Iona on Saturday, she smashed 20 kills in four sets, and also added three total blocks. With her 20th and final kill, which also sealed the deal on Marist's victory, Fergus moved up to 3rd on the program's all-time kills list. She followed that up with 13 more kills in just three sets on Sunday against Manhattan, on a .323 hitting percentage. She also tallied nine digs, falling one short of a double-double, and added in a service ace. For the week, she totaled 33 kills, 4.71 per set, and had three total blocks, 13 digs, and an ace.

The Red Foxes head into the MAAC Tournament this weekend as the #4 seed, and will take on #5 Niagara in the opening round on Friday, November 22 at 8 p.m. in Fairfield, CT.
