BALTIMORE, Maryland – Marist swimming and diving will wrap up its fall competition schedule with the H2ounds invitational hosted by Loyola Maryland this weekend. The meet will take place on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7. Â

- Last time out, the Red Foxes took on the defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's champion Fairfield Stags on Saturday, November 23.
- The women defeated last year's champs by a score of 190-108.
- Additionally, men's swimming and diving defeated the Stags by a score of 199-99 last Saturday.
- Michael O'Donovan took first place in the first individual event of the day, which was the 1000-yard free. He clocked in at 9:46.34, which was a personal best. It was an impressive meet all around for O'Donovan, who tied to lead the men with 18 points. He also took home a first-place finish in the 500-yard free, finishing with a time of 4:46.34.
- Raislan Aiken and David Gallino each one a diving event for the Red Foxes. Gallino took first in the 1-meter dive with a score of 245.03, and Aiken took home first in the 3-meter dive for the second week in a row with 282.15 points.
- Zimmermann had one of the best, if not the best, meets of her career. Besides a great performance in the opening relay, she had a whopping 27 points in the meet. She won three individual legs, including the 100-yard breast, the 50-yard free, and the 100-yard free.
- Jessica Freund was the second-leading scorer for Marist, totaling 22 points. She won both the 200-yard breast and the 200-yard IM, clocking in with times of 2:27.59 and 2:12.73, respectively.

- Marist Swimming and Diving has collected five weekly awards so far this season.
- John Hurley is fresh off being named the Pepsi Zero MAAC Student Athlete of the Week on November 27.
- Esabelle Gervasio is off to an incredible start this season, having earned three MAAC Diver of the Week awards already.
- Aiken has also garnered a MAAC Diver of the Week award for the men.

- This will be a championship style dual meet with three sessions, one Friday evening and two Saturday. T
- he first session on Friday begins at 5 p.m. On Saturday, the second session starts at 10 a.m., while the third session starts at 2 p.m.
- The heats are all final results. Marist will compete against MAAC opponents Iona and Saint Peter's, Loyola Maryland, Howard University, and VMI.

- Last year, the women's team scored 914.5 points for a second place finish, topping Mount Saint Mary's, Iona and Howard but falling to Loyola Maryland. Grace Reeves was named Diver of the Meet for her performance throughout the weekend.
- The men's team also finished in second place, finishing the competition with 807 points which beat out Mount Saint Mary's, Iona and Howard, but fell short of Loyola Maryland. Raislan Aiken was named Diver of the Meet.
- With the results of the men's and women's meet from this weekend, Head Coach Larry VanWagner and Associate Coach Melanie Bolstad earned their 400th career dual meet victory.

The Red Foxes will have just about a month off, before returning to the pool in January. Marist will take on Binghamton on Friday, January 10 in a dual meet competition. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
