Box Score WAPPINGERS FALLS, New York – Marist women's tennis fell to UMass 6-1 at Cross Court in its first home match of the season. The Red Foxes fall to 2-5 on the season.
 
Senior Sophia Moeller earned Marist's one point on the day, putting out a gritty performance in the third singles spot against Anna Napadiy. The Red Fox had a tight second set, but earned the point with a 6-3, 7-5 win.
 
Junior Jada Tijani almost forced a tie-breaker set but ultimately fell to Ashley Avery 6-2, 7-6.

The women's team will travel to Hofstra February 16 with the match slated to start at 2:00 pm.
