HEMPSTEAD, New York – Marist women picked up a win against Hofstra, improving its overall record to 3-5.

Julia Gabay and
Sam Galu played in the first doubles spot and picked up the first double win of the day, defeating Kachkarov/Ruffini 6-4. In the third spot,
Chloe Lant and
Sophia Chavarria edged out Stork/Dolabany 7-6.

Gabay won in the first singles spot for Marist with a gritty 7-5, 6-4 win over Ruffini.
Sophia Moeller and
Sophia Chavarria had tight sets in the third and sixth singles spots but both came from behind and won the tie breaker set.

Marist will stay on the road and travel to Pennsylvania, taking on Lafayette on February 22 and Bucknell on February 23.
