Women's Tennis To Take on Army

The Red Foxes Will Stay Close to Home

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's tennis team will take on Army West Point on Friday, March 1. This will be the fourth game of a six-game road-trip for the Red Foxes. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Foxes fell to 4-6 overall on the season, after being defeated 5-2 by the Bucknell Bison on Saturday, February 23. This loss also dropped them below .500 on the road this season, as Marist is now 4-5 in away games. Chloe Lant and Sophia Chavarria each earned victories in singles matches, earning both of the points for the Red Foxes.
 
SCOUTING ARMY
The Black Knights are 9-5 overall this season, and an impressive 6-2 in home matches. They have won four of their last six matches, but are most recently coming off of a 5-2 loss against NJIT. Hannah Boubel and MarryJo Pidgeon earned singles points for Army, and both finished the weekend with a perfect 2-0 mark in singles matches. This was the first time in the last five matches that Army was defeated by NJIT.
 
UP NEXT
The Red Foxes will continue their road trip, traveling to Vestal, NY for a match against Binghamton. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
