VESTAL, New York – The Red Foxes came away with a 12-8 win over Binghamton at the Bearcat Sports Complex Friday afternoon. Marist did a better job taking care of the ball in the second half, leading to an offensive outburst to help put the game away. The Red Foxes improve to 2-2 on the season.

- Kelly George found Samantha Mehalick right in front of the net to score and take the early 1-0 lead.
- Marist won the following draw control, but a turn over led to a goal from Binghamton to tie it up.
- Neither team would score for the following eight minutes. The Red Foxes defense made plenty of stops but Marist struggled to clear. The Bearcats broke the scoring drought to take a 2-1 lead with 15:27 left.
- Marist used a 3-0 run highlighted by back-to-back goals from Devon Connolly to take a 5-4 lead into halftime.
- Binghamton opened the second half with a 2-0 run to reclaim the lead. But the Marist offense went to work, scoring six unanswered goals to take an 11-6 with 12:41 left in the game. The offense took its foot off the pedal after that and held Binghamton to two more goals to close out the game.
- Mehalick had a season high six goals while George had a season high four assists.
- Marist edged Binghamton in the draw circle 14-7. Hailey Wagner came up with 12 draw controls.
- The Red Foxes had 13 turnovers in the first half but only seven in the second.
- Caroline Polymeros led the team with three ground balls and recorded a caused turnover.

- Mehalick moves into sixth all-time scoring with 118 goals.

The Red Foxes have a mid-week game at UMass on March 6 before returning home to face La Salle on Saturday, March 9.
