RICHMOND, Virginia - Marist baseball (4-10) was defeated 9-3 on day two of their pair at Virginia Commonwealth (13-3). The Rams got out to an early lead due to early errors, and though the Red Foxes earned a series of runs in the seventh, they were unable to complete the comeback.

SUMMARY

• VCU scored three runs in the second with only one earned. Nick Cantone gave up just one hit in the inning.
