THIS SEASON
Marist and Manhattan split the 2018-19 regular-season series, with each team prevailing on the road. The Red Foxes dropped their home matchup 69-51 on Jan. 27, but picked up the win in Riverdale 62-51 on Feb. 7.

FIRST MEETING
  • Manhattan handed Marist just their second MAAC loss of the season to the date of Jan. 27, with career-high performances from Lynette Taitt and Julie Hoier.
  • The Jaspers went on multiple runs to stave off Marist whenever they began to close the gap on their halftime lead of 34-24.
  • The Red Foxes scored a season-low in points with 51, and shot 30.0 percent from the floor and 20.0 percent from three.
SECOND MEETING
  • Marist snapped Manhattan's three-game winning streak and evened up the season series on Feb. 7.
  • The Jaspers came out strong to lead by double-digits after the first quarter, but a 21-2 scoring advantage for the Red Foxes in the second turned the tides and Marist controlled the rest of the game for the 11-point victory. Two points in a quarter is the least that Marist has allowed this season.
  • Rebekah Hand tallied her third double-double of the season with 21 points, 10 rebounds and an assist.
  • Manhattan had a 60-47 field goal-attempt advantage, but the Red Foxes had a 31-17 free throw-attempt advantage, making 71% from the line.
CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
  • This will be the eighth meeting between Marist and Manhattan in the MAAC Championships.
  • The Jaspers knocked out the Red Foxes in the opening round in 2000 by a score of 54-48. Then in 2002, Manhattan topped Marist in the Quarterfinals 70-54.
  • The Red Foxes went on to eliminate the Jaspers in the Quarterfinals in 2004 (60-49), 2007 (55-42), 2013 (72-50), 2016 (76-60) and 2018 (84-60).
