NIAGARA FALLS, New York – Marist women's lacrosse erased a deficit, tied the game to send it overtime and defeated Niagara 17-16 thanks to a goal from
Kelly George.
Hailey Wagner had a career day from the draw circle with a single game career 23 draws. She also notched her 500
th career draw halfway through the game.
With the win, Marist improves to 6-8 and 3-3 in conference play.

- Niagara took control of the game early, racing out to a 5-1 lead in the first 13 minutes of game play. A goal from Wagner from the left side stopped the Purple Eagle's run, but they responded with two more goals to take their largest lead of the day at 7-2.
- Marist won the next seven draw controls, six coming from Wagner. The Red Foxes used this to their advantage and tied the game up 8-8. A free position goal gave the advantage back to Niagara before the half was over.
- The Purple Eagles opened up the second half winning the first two draw controls and converting them to points to take an 11-8 lead. Marist cut the deficit to one but Niagara pulled away to make it a two goal game. Both teams trade goals, with Samantha Mehalick scoring twice to reclaim the lead for Marist. Mehalick's sixth goal of the day tied the game up to send it to overtime.
- Wagner won the opening draw in overtime but the ball was immediately turned over. Niagara had a chance to capitalize but its shot was saved by Delaney Galvin. Marist cleared the ball and sealed the victory with a goal from George.
- Mehalick paced the offense with six goals. Jessica Lasaponara and Hailey Wagner each recorded a hat trick.
- Shots were nearly identical with Marist holding the edge 32-30
- Annie Sheehy had four ground balls and two caused turnovers
- Niagara's Rachel MacCheyne had a game high nine points.

- Wagner's 23 draw controls in the most in a game in the NCAA this season and second most in the history of women's lacrosse.
- For the third time in her career, Wagner broke the single season draw control record. She now has 164 for the season.
- Marist leads the series 17-8
