FISHKILL, New York - Marist baseball (15-20, 5-5 MAAC) came out strong but could not keep up with Manhattan (15-22, 9-3 MAAC) as the Jaspers offense went off for a 14-4 win over the Red Foxes. Manhattan has now won their last eight MAAC games.
 

SUMMARY

• Nick Cantone found success early in the second by driving in Reece Armitage with a chopper to the shortstop.
• Manhattan jumped into the lead with three runs in the fourth.
• The Jaspers added on six more runs in the fifth. They recorded five hits, and two went for extra bases.
• Patrick Lightner batted a two-RBI single through the right side to drive in Frankie Gregoire and Reece Armitage, and then Cantone sent Matt Rubayo home to cut Manhattan's lead to 9-4 in the sixth.

• Manhattan never relented, as they added another pair of runs in the eighth to clinch a 14-4 win.
