"Meet the Foxes" Named National Award Finalist

Red Fox Network Production Lauded By SVG/NACDA For Second Straight Year

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – For the second straight year, the Red Fox Network's weekly student-produced segment "Meet The Foxes" was named a finalist for the Sports Video Group (SVG)/NACDA College Sports Media Awards.

"Meet the Foxes" was recognized in the Outstanding Program Series – Collegiate Student category. This award recognizes the best in college sports video production.

Produced by Marist students Kerry Flynn and Mary Sniatkowski, "Meet The Foxes" is a weekly segment that highlights Marist student-athletes. It allows fans the opportunity to get to know the student-athletes on a personal level.

The Red Fox Network, the digital video network of the Marist Athletics Department, is comprised of Director of Athletics Multimedia Meghan Graham and Multimedia Coordinators Juliana Albano and Maria Quiroz. All productions are executed with Marist students, who are gaining valuable industry experience in a live production setting.

"Kerry and Mary have been an essential asset to the Athletics Multimedia department during their time as students," Graham said. " 'Meet the Foxes' has become a household name around the Athletics Department, and their video skills have made McCann a better place, providing laughter and a greater sense of community. I am so proud of the hard work they have put toward creating great content."

During the 2018-19 academic year, the Marist Athletics Department continued its partnership with ESPN to broadcast home events on ESPN3 and ESPN+. The Red Fox Network staff produced 44 live events for ESPN this season. This total once again included home men's basketball, women's basketball, and water polo, and added broadcasts of volleyball, men's lacrosse, and softball this season. The Red Fox Network was responsible for producing broadcasts in the MAAC Championships for water polo, men's lacrosse, and softball, as well as Marist men's lacrosse's NCAA Opening Round home game against UMBC.

Award winners will be announced at the 11th annual SVG College Sports Summit, which will take place from May 29-31.
