POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Senior Brandi Coon of the Marist softball team has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District for the third year in a row.
 
To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have spent at least two prior semesters at his or her institution, have played in over 50 percent of the team's games, and have a grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
 
Coon was most recently named to the All-MAAC Second Team. She has played and started in 51 games this season. Coon is third on the team in runs (33), hits (55), doubles (10) and has tallied 18 RBIs. The senior Red Fox was named the MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, May 1.
 
Coon is a Software Development major who has been named to the Dean's List in all seven of her complete semesters at Marist by virtue of having a grade-point average over 3.6. She has been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team and to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll each year she has been eligible.
