POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team plays the first of its six home games at Tenney Stadium on Saturday, when the Red Foxes face Stetson in their Pioneer Football League opener. Kickoff is set for noon.

• Marist was defeated in its season opener at Georgetown by a score of 43-3 on Saturday, Sept. 7.
• The Red Foxes' three points came on a 36-yard field goal by red-shirt freshman Luke Paladino in the second quarter.
• Red-shirt freshman safety Clayborne Fields III and red-shirt sophomore safety Kyle Fleitman tied for the team lead with nine tackles apiece.

• Marist is beginning its 11^th season in the PFL. The Red Foxes are 41-39 all-time in PFL play, with a 21-20 home record and 20-19 road mark.
• Dating back to last season, fifth-year senior wide receiver Anthony Olivencia has at least five receptions in five straight games.
• Seven Red Foxes made their first collegiate start last week against Georgetown: red-shirt sophomore Darryl Sullivan (center), red-shirt sophomore Ben Stoy (right tackle), red-shirt freshman Nick Foglia (nose tackle), red-shirt junior Darien Townsend (defensive end), red-shirt junior Matt Thomson (linebacker), red-shirt freshman Clayborne Fields III (safety), and red-shirt sophomore Kyle Fleitman (safety).
• The Marist roster includes players from 15 different states, plus one from Washington, DC and one from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• This is the third straight season Marist has faced Stetson in its PFL opener.

• The Hatters are coming off a 58-13 victory over Louisiana College in their season opener on Sept. 7.
• Stetson was picked to finish sixth in this year's PFL Preseason Poll.
• Three Hatters – wide receiver Steve Burdette, linebacker Colby Duncan, and defensive back J.J. Henderson – were named to the Preseason All-PFL Team.
• Head coach Roger Hughes is in seventh season.
• Stetson is 2-4 all-time against Marist, with the home team prevailing five times in the series.
