EDISON, New Jersey – Marist Women's Soccer sophomore
Victoria Colatosti was selected as the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 2, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Â
This is the first time Colatosti has been named Offensive Player of the Week and her second-career award. She is the first Red Fox to pick up the award for offense since Brianna Robinson on October 23, 2017. Marist has now had a player garner a weekly award in two consecutive weeks after
Abigail Renaud was the previous Defensive Player of the Week.
Â
Colatosti paced the Red Fox offense in two games last week. In the match at Drexel on August 30, she put home a loose ball off a corner kick in the 72nd minute. The forward followed that up with a career-high five points via two goals and an assist in the 5-0 win over Delaware State on September 1. All five points came in the second stanza.
Â
On the year, Colatosti leads the Red Foxes and is tied for the top spot in the MAAC with four goals and nine points, already a career-best after she collected two goals in her rookie campaign.
Â
Marist concludes its four-game road trip on Thursday, September 5 with a trek to New Hampshire for a 7 p.m. tilt. The Red Foxes make their home debut on Sunday, September 8 against Loyola (MD) at 1 p.m.
