Red Foxes Set to Challenge First Ranked Opponent of Season

DURHAM, New Hampshire - Marist men's soccer (2-3) is looking to rebound against #18 New Hampshire (4-0-2) on Saturday, September 21. Kick-off is set for noon as the Red Foxes face their first ranked opponent of the season.
 
HOW TO FOLLOW
  • The game will be streamed on ESPN+, and live stats will be provided courtesy of UNHWildcats.com.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes suffered a 2-1 loss to Albany on Wednesday, September 18.
  • Marist had the advantage in shots 17-12, shots on goal 7-5 and corner kicks 11-3, but could not score until the final minutes of the game.
  • Sophomore Jacob Schulman earned the first goal of his collegiate career to bring the game within one, but the clock ran out before the Red Foxes could push the game into overtime.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
  • New Hampshire is undefeated thus far in the season, most recently earning a 1-0 win over Dartmouth and a 4-0 win at Fairfield.
  • Fabian Lutz leads the Wildcats with three goals and two assists through six games.
  • New Hampshire has four shutouts and has outscored opponents by a 10-3 margin.
OFFENSIVE DEPTH
  • All five of Marist's goals have been scored by different players.
  • Schulman joined Samad Bounthong, Christian Curti, Marcus Ginman and Michael Lorello with his late goal on Wednesday.
  • The Red Foxes have had the advantage in shots in every contest of the season, having launched 88 shots while holding the opposition to 47.
  • Last season, Marist defeated #17 Pacific to earn their highest-ranked win since 2000. They also played #12 Fordham to a 1-1 tie just nine days later.
