Marist Downed At Georgetown In Season Opener

Red Foxes Open Home, PFL Schedules Next Week

WASHINGTON, DC – The Marist football team was defeated at Georgetown by a score of 43-3 in its season opener on Saturday afternoon at Cooper Field.
 
Summary
  • The game's first points came on a 17-yard touchdown run by Georgetown quarterback Gunther Johnson with 3:48 left in the first quarter. The Hoyas led 7-0 after the first 15 minutes.
  • Red-shirt freshman Luke Paladino hit a 36-yard field goal with 8:51 left in the second quarter, which cut Marist's deficit to 7-3. The kick capped a 12-play drive.
