Swimming & Diving Recognized by CSCAA for Academics

Men's and Women's Teams Selected for Past Three Semesters

Colorado Springs, CO – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) has named the Marist College men's and women's swimming and diving teams to its Scholar All-America team for the Fall 2019 semester.

A record 762 programs from 480 institutions were named to the list, representing 17,685 student athletes. To crack the list, Marist men's and women's swimming & diving accumulated GPAs of 3.17 and 3.50, respectively.

The women's side was one of eight MAAC programs to earn honors, while the men also joined seven other MAAC schools on the list. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Over sixty percent of the selections (470 teams) belong to women's programs. Meanwhile, nearly three hundred men's teams also earned Scholar All-America honors.
"The CSCAA Scholar All-America list is a great marker for academic success and provides a benchmark for teams to strive for," explained South Carolina Head Coach and Member, CSCAA Board of Directors.  The Marist swimming and diving programs take great pride in this, as they have been named to the Scholar All-America team for the past two semesters/

The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
