Caitlin Weimar has been selected as the MAAC Rookie of the Week for the week of December 7th, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

Weimar wins her first weekly award as a collegiate student-athlete, and becomes the first Red Fox to win MAAC Rookie of the Week honors since teammate
Sarah Barcello garnered the award on December 31, 2018. She is the first freshman to earn the recognition in the second week of voting since
Rebekah Hand did so on November 21, 2016.

The Cortlandt Manor, NY native started in her collegiate debut, posting 12 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks in the 83-55 victory at Army West Point. The seven boards and three blocks led the team, while she tied for the team lead with six field goals on sixty percent shooting. Weimar became the first Red Fox rookie to start the season opener and record 10 or more points since teammate
Willow Duffell recorded 13 points against Navy on November 10th, 2017.

Marist shifts its focus to its MAAC openers vs. Canisius on Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th. Both games are set to tip from McCann Arena at 5 p.m.
