Women’s Basketball Faces Siena In Sunday Matinee

Red Foxes, Saints Meet For First Of Two Meetings

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Women's Basketball closes its four-game, nine-day stretch with a chance to go 4-0 through the period when it heads to Albany, NY for a matchup with Siena on Sunday, February 16 at Noon.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Never shooting worse than 50 percent in every quarter, Marist completed the regular season sweep of Canisius with an 86-72 win at McCann Arena on February 13.
  • Alana Gilmer led all player with 20 points on 9-12 shooting, moving into the top five in program history in career field goals.
  • Rebekah Hand had 18 points and seven assists. Grace Vander Weide posted 14 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to become the fifth Red Fox with 400 helpers in a Red Fox uniform.

SCOUTING SIENA
  • The Saints are 6-7 in the MAAC, and 8-14 overall.
  • Siena had its five-game winning streak snapped on February 13 in a 69-38 loss to Rider.
  • Sabrina Piper leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game.
  • Amari Anthony is averaging 10.8 points and 4.5 rebounds against conference foes.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Sunday marks the 67th meeting all-time between the Red Foxes and the Saints.
  • Marist holds the 35-31 edge in the series.
  • The Red and White has won four consecutive games vs. the Green and Gold. Each win has been by 15 points or higher.
