Women’s Basketball Welcomes Manhattan To McCann

Marist Plays Its First Home Games Since December 15th

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Women's Basketball (5-1, 3-1 MAAC) returns to McCann Arena for a pair of MAAC matchups against Manhattan (5-3, 5-1 MAAC) on Saturday, January 9th and Sunday, January 10th at 5 p.m.

  • The Red Foxes split two games at Quinnipiac on Sunday, January 3rd and Monday, January 4th.
  • On Sunday, Marist won 69-50 thanks to a career-high 25 points from Sarah Barcello, career-high 11 assists from Allie Best, and Caitlin Weimar's 11-point, 11-rebound double-double.
  • On Monday, the Bobcats beat Marist 59-55 in overtime despite Willow Duffell's 18 points and 17 rebounds, both career-bests. That result snapped Marist's 17-game winning streak dating back to February 1st, 2020.

  • On January 3rd against Quinnipiac, she had a career-high 11 assists without a turnover, becoming just the third Red Fox since 2006 to have 10+ assists without a turnover (Grace Vander Weide, all-time assists leader and current head coach at Vermont Alisa Kresge).
