ST. ALBANS, Vermont – In a final tune-up before championship season, the Marist men's cross country team placed second out of six teams at the Fall Foliage Invitational, hosted by the University of Vermont.
Racing for the first time this season, sophomore
Ramsey Little led the Red Foxes with a third-place finish and time of 26:07.3 on the 8-kilometer course on a windy and rainy day.
The chase pack of
Gabriel Rodriguez,
Patrick Kutch,
Matthew Hartman and
James Moehringer packed in tightly within 12.5 seconds of each other to secure the second-place finishing total of 51 points, narrowly edging Bryant (57 points). Host Vermont won easily with 18 points.
The Red Foxes next race at the MAAC Championships, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Florida.
