Men’s Soccer’s Season Comes to End at Providence

Friars Top Red Foxes in NCAA Tournament

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – The Marist men's soccer team had its season come to an end with a 2-0 loss at Providence in an NCAA first-round match on Thursday night.
 
Summary
  • Marist keeper Samuel Ilin had three saves by the midway point of the first half, and one of Providence's best scoring chances was a shot that went high from Brendan McSorley in the 24th minute.
  • The Red Foxes' first shot came from Kyle Galloway in the 28th minute from just outside the 18, and it went just wide to the left.
  • Providence scored first in the 40th minute, as Christopher Roman headed in a cross from Armaan Wilson, with Gil Santos earning the second assist.
