BRONX, New York – Four women earned ECAC All-East honors, leading the Marist College women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish out of 14 teams at the ECAC Championships on Saturday afternoon, held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. 
 
Graduate student Hayley Collins concluded her stellar cross country career with a 10th-place finish over the historic 5-kilometer course, finishing in 18:35. She was followed closely behind by redshirt freshman Tori Mariano, who finished in 18:37. Graduate student Gianna Mastromatteo ended her strong cross country career with a 21st place finish in 19:03. Redshirt freshman Hannah Belleville was 32nd in 19:15. All four earned ECAC All-East honors, which is awarded to the top 40 in the race. Graduate student Talia Cutrone (58th place, 19:58) rounded out the scoring for the Red Foxes. 
 
"I just wanted to say how proud I am of everyone today," Marist head coach Chuck Williams said. "In a season full of ups and downs we finished really strong and we did it together!! Our goal was a top-five finish and that is exactly what we did!!
 
"Congrats to Hayley, Tori, Gianna, and Hannah on ECAC All-East Honors! After completing our first full season in two years, we are so excited for what the future holds for this program. Most importantly, we were so happy to send off the seniors with our best performance of the year!"
 
The meet concludes the fall 2021 cross country season for the Red Foxes.
