POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's basketball team (2-4) continues non-conference play this week with a pair of contests. The Red Foxes will travel to Lafayette for a 6 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday, and will host Columbia at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCann Arena.
 

About Marist

• Marist is 1-0 against Lafayette all-time. This is the first meeting between the teams since exactly 13 years ago today, and this is Marist's first trip to Lafayette.
• Sunday's game against Columbia will mark the first meeting between the teams since the 2002-03 season. The Red Foxes are 4-6 against the Lions all-time.
• In their most recent contest on Sunday, Marist fell to Central Michigan, 56-50. Zaria Shazer led the Red Foxes in points (11), rebounds (nine) and blocked shots (two).  
• Zaria Shazer leads the Red Foxes in points (11.0) and rebounds per game (8.5). 
• Kiara Fisher follows in points per game (10.8).

 

About Lafayette

• The Leopards are 1-5 this season. In their last outing, they were defeated by Cornell 66-55 this past Sunday.
• Claire Gallagher is averaging 12.0 points in two games. Jessica Booth is averaging 11.7 points and has appeared in all six of Lafayette's games.
• Makaila Wilson leads in rebounds per game (8.7). 

 

About Columbia

• Columbia is 6-2 on the season. The Lions are coming off a 63-60 win over Rider on Sunday, Nov. 28. The Lions will host Delaware on Thursday night before traveling to Marist for Sunday's game.
• Abbey Hsu leads the Lions in points (18.1) and minutes per game (33.6).
• Kaitlyn Davis leads in rebounds (7.0) and is second in points per game (13.5).
