Women's Basketball faces Fairfield in MAAC Play

The Red Foxes will take on the Stags this Saturday

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York—Women's Basketball (2-6) will begin MAAC play this Saturday at Fairfield (3-5). Tip-off is set for 2 pm.

Vs. Fairfield
  • Marist is 38-21 against Fairfield all-time. The teams split the season series last year, with both games taking place at Fairfield. 
  • Marist is 13-1 all-time at Webster Bank Arena. This includes a 7-1 all-time record against Fairfield, and a 6-0 mark in MAAC Championship play (3-0 in both 2007 and 2011). This is Marist's first game at Webster Bank Arena since Jan. 12, 2012, a 59-47 Marist victory. 
  • Fairfield last played on Thursday, Dec. 9 – a 91-58 loss at #8/10 Indiana.  
  • Lou Lopez-Senechal (18.3 ppg) leads the MAAC in scoring, and is the MAAC's Preseason Player of the Year

  • Marist has won 16 straight MAAC openers, a streak that started in the 2005-06 season.
