Allie Best has been named the MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is Best's first MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week award in her career.

The Glen Gardner, New Jersey native has set multiple career-highs after emerging as Marist's starting point guard in her senior year. She has boosted her statistics in multiple facets from a season ago:

On Friday, January 22nd at Niagara, Best recorded the 300th assist in her career. Entering Marist's next series against Rider, she is 13 assists away from entering the top 10 in Marist's all-time assists list. As of Tuesday, February 2nd, she is second in the nation with a 5.08 assist/turnover ratio.

Off the court, Best has achieved exceptional results in the classroom. Majoring in Biology, she is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection. She contributed to the program's 3.818 GPA in the Fall 2020 semester, which was the highest mark among women's teams at Marist in the term. In her time at Marist, she has made the Dean's List seven times in as many opportunities.
