ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – A year and a day since the 26-4 Marist Red Foxes' season was canceled before the MAAC Semifinals due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the women's basketball program seeks to capture its 11th MAAC title in the 2021 Hercules Tires MAAC Women's Basketball Championship.
The top-seeded Red Foxes take on the third-ranked Saint Peter's on Saturday, March 13th at 11 a.m.

- The Red Foxes improved to 15-1 all-time in a MAAC semifinal matchup with a 66-50 triumph over Fairfield on Friday afternoon.
- Marist never trailed in the game and had four in double figures, led by Trinasia Kennedy's and Willow Duffell's 17 points.
- Sarah Barcello and Allie Best scored 12 and 11 points, respectively. Caitlin Weimar came off the bench for the first time in her career and chipped in nine points and 11 rebounds to complete the offense.
- Kennedy, Duffell, and Kendall Krick teamed up to hold the Stags' leading scorers Lou Lopez-Senechal and Katie Armstrong to 11 and three points, respectively.
- Marist has held its opponent to 60 or less points in nine straight games. No team has scored more than 61 points in a game against the Red Foxes.
- Only two opponents have made more than 40 percent of their shots in a game against the Red Foxes.
- In 15 of Marist's 20 games, teams have shot less than 33.3 percent from beyond the arc against the Red Foxes' perimeter defense.
- Duffell needs one rebound for sole possession of eighth place on Marist's all-time rebounds list and five boards for seventh. Stephanie Del Preore and Tori Jarosz currently occupy eighth and seventh place, respectively.
- Best needs 11 assists to reach Lynne Griffin for eighth on Marist's all-time assists list. She is also three triples away from 100 for her career.
- Marist is 10-4 all-time in the MAAC Championship final. The Red Foxes seek their first title since 2014.
- The Red Foxes and Peacocks have never met in the final. Both teams pace the conference in championships and championship appearances

- On the season, Saint Peter's went 13-14, going 10-9 in MAAC play to secure its highest seed in postseason play since the 2001-02 campaign.
- This is the first time since 2002 that the Peacocks are in the championship game, and the first time they're in the title game as a three-seed since 1991.
- Two Peacocks average double figures: All-MAAC First Team selection Taiah Thornton (14.3 PPG) and All-MAAC Third Team pick Kendrea Williams (12.2 PPG). Ajia James (8.7 PPG, 8.3 RPG) was a unanimous MAAC All-Rookie honoree.
- Head Coach Marc Mitchell split the MAAC "The Rock" Coach of the Year title with Marist Head Coach Brian Giorgis.

- Each team picked up a win in the regular season series. Marist won the opener 71-55 after shooting a season-best 55 percent in a MAAC game. Saint Peter's earned a 58-51 victory in the regular season finale, outscoring the Red Foxes 30-11 in the game's final 17:05.
- Marist is 6-0 against Saint Peter's in the MAAC Tournament. Two of those games came in the semifinals back in 2004 and 2008. The rest were in quarterfinal action in 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2017.
