POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Over this past week, Marist College has continued to receive optimistic news regarding campus testing. As a result, the College is implementing various initiatives as part of a pilot program to re-open campus activity.Â

The following teams, which are considered low-risk sports, will be competing this weekend:Â

- Women's & Men's Tennis: Friday at Niagara, Sunday vs. QuinnipiacÂ
- Softball: Saturday & Sunday doubleheaders vs. MonmouthÂ
- Baseball: Saturday & Sunday doubleheaders at Saint Peter'sÂ

All members of the program must continue to follow all of the mitigating factors, including mask usage and social distancing.

The McCann Fitness Center (second floor) will open with a 25 percent capacity limit, Â starting at noon today, April 16
th, with individual registration requirements throughÂ
IMLeagues and supervision by McCann Center staff. The McCormick Hall Fitness Center will remain closed at this time.

At this time, in accordance with college and local guidelines there will be no spectators at home Marist College Athletics events.

The College will continue to evaluate the data regarding the pilot approach on a daily basis. Discussions will continue on safe ways to return to training, practice, and competition for all sports.
