Kyle Fleitman were named to the Preseason All-Pioneer Football League Team on Wednesday.
- In 2019, Acosta was named a Phil Steele Freshman All-American and was an Honorable Mention All-PFL selection.
- He ranked second on the Red Foxes in both tackles for loss (seven) and sacks (four).
- He recorded 40 total tackles, including 13 solo stops.
- A Business Administration/Marketing major and Criminal Justice minor, Acosta is a three-time selection to the PFL Academic Honor Roll.
- Fleitman was a Second Team All-PFL selection in 2019.
- That season, he was second on the team in tackles (62) and interceptions (two), while tying for second in pass break-ups (five). He also registered five-and-a-half tackles for loss, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble.
- Fleitman was named PFL Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 15, 2019 after recording 10 tackles, three pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and a tackle for loss in a victory over Stetson.
- A four-time PFL Academic Honor Roll selection, Fleitman majored in Business Administration/Marketing as an undergraduate.
The Marist football team opens the 2021 season at Georgetown on Saturday, Sept. 5. The Red Foxes' eight-game PFL schedule begins on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Valparaiso.
