POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – For the 20
th straight year, Marist leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in selections to the conference's Academic Honor Roll. For the second straight year, the Red Foxes set a school record for number of honorees, with 331 student-athletes honored for the 2020-21 school year.
 
Marist's honor roll representatives:
 
	- Account for 74 percent of eligible student-athletes.
- Come from 27 different states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
- Come from 13 different countries: Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, England, Egypt, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.
 
 
Marist's previous record number of honorees was 300, set last year.
 
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled at the institution for at least two semesters.
 
The honorees cover 21 of Marist's 23 Division I sports, with the exception for football and men's rowing. This year, football set a record with 61 student-athletes named to the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll. Men's rowing had 11 student-athletes named Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athletes.
