CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts - The Marist volleyball team is on their way to Cambridge, MA for the Harvard Invitational this weekend.  The Red Foxes will open up the tournament against Harvard on Friday at 7 p.m. and then play both Merrimack and Austin Peay at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes dropped their home opener to UAlbany on Tuesday, August 29. 
• Gabriella Heimbauer and van der Merwe led the Red Foxes with twelve kills each.
• McKinley Fox totaled 29 assists in the loss.  She also had 11 digs, collecting her second double-double of the season.
• Morgan Owens continued her stellar play, leading the game with 19 digs.
• Vanessa Zolg had a game-high three service aces and a team-high four total blocks.
• Jillian Hanna collected the first two kills of her career in the match.
• Kamara Kelly led the Great Danes with 11 kills.
• Albany outhit Marist, .190-.107.

 

SCOUTING THE FIELD

• This will be the first game of the season for Harvard. The Crimson were picked to finish sixth in the Ivy League Poll. 
• Merrimack is 0-4 so far in 2021.
• Austin Peay went 1-2 at the Marshall Invitational, and is 1-2 on the season.
