Marist Drops PFL Home Game Against Dayton

Downes Records 100-Yard Receiving Game, Kauderer & Arrington Notch Two Sacks Apiece

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist football team was defeated by the Dayton Flyers by a score of 24-7 on Saturday afternoon at Tenney Stadium.

  • Dayton's defense kept the Red Foxes out of the end zone until the game's final 18 seconds.
 
Marist Highlights
  • The Marist defense stood tall as the Red Foxes stopped a Dayton 4th and 1 from their 10-yard line. A big tackle from Teddy Wright on Dayton running back Jake Chisholm stopped all the Flyers' momentum.
  • In the third quarter, quarterback Diego Arroyo found wide receiver Will Downes for back-to-back plays for 22 yards and 20 yards.
  • Mike Arrington and Aaron Acosta combined for a big sack, forcing Dayton to punt at the start of the fourth quarter.
  • Running back Tristan Shannon rushed for a one-yard touchdown with 18 seconds remaining.
