Women's Soccer Wins On Senior Night

The Red Foxes Held Manhattan Scoreless to Secure Second MAAC Victory

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - On an emotional Saturday night in which Marist honored their six seniors, the Red Foxes beat the Manhattan Jaspers 2-0 at Tenney Stadium.

Summary
  • In the 39th minute, Marist won a free kick just outside of the box. Nicole Colantuono fired a shot that deflected off of a Manhattan defender and found the back of the net to give the Red Foxes a 1-0 lead. 
  • In the 64th minute, Manhattan had a great opportunity, but Natalie Kelchner stretched out and made a diving save to keep the Jaspers off the board. 
  • In the 72nd minute, Amanda Caldarelli crossed the ball into the box where Lauryn Schmidt was there to redirect it into the back of the net and give the Red Foxes a 2-0 lead.
