Football Travels to Take On Butler

Red Foxes Look to Get Back in the Win Column This Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - The Marist football team (2-4 overall, 2-2 Pioneer Football League) takes the field this Saturday, as the Red Foxes hit the road to take on Butler (4-2, 2-1) for a PFL showdown. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

 
HOW TO FOLLOW
  • Geoff Brault (play-by-play) and Steve Eggink (analyst) will have the call on the Red Fox Network starting at 12:45 p.m.
  • Game updates will be available on Twitter via Marist Football (@Marist_FBall).
  • Video will be available on FloSports/Butler+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist was defeated at home by Dayton this past Saturday, 24-7.
  • Will Downes reeled in seven passes for 105 yards, while Tristan Shannon tallied on his first collegiate touchdown.
  • Miles Kauderer racked up five tackles, two sacks, two pass-breakups, and a forced fumble.
  • Mike Arrington also had two sacks on the day.
 
ABOUT BUTLER
  • Picked 10th in the PFL Preseaon Poll, the Bulldogs have won two straight games after taking down Valparaiso 26-25 last Saturday.
  • Quarterback Bret Bushka is the only player in the PFL to be named the offensive player of the week twice this season. 
  • Head coach of the Bulldogs, Mike Uremovich, is in his first season.
 
HISTORY VS. BUTLER
  • Marist is 4-2 all time against the Bulldogs, with the last matchup ending in Butler's favor last season
  • The road team has won four of the six meetings in the series. 
  • Marist is 2-0 all-time Butler, having previously made the trip to Indianapolis in 2011 and 2016.
UP NEXT
  • Marist will return home to host Presbyterian at Tenney Stadium in a PFL bout Saturday, Oct. 29.
  • This will also be Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, with kickoff set for noon.
