Volleyball Set to Take on Quinnipiac & Siena

The Red Foxes Looking to Add Two More Wins to Their 5-1 Conference Record

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Riding a three-match winning streak, Marist volleyball will head to Hamden, CT to look for its second win against Quinnipiac this season. The Red Foxes will finally be back at home on Saturday to host Siena.

Last Time Out
  • The Red Foxes came back to win the match after dropping the first two sets on Sunday at Rider.
  • The Red Foxes prevailed by scores of 24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-11.
  • Sasha van der Merwe had 17 kills, 14 digs, and five blocks.
  • Jordan Newblatt finished with a match-high 20 digs, followed by Morgan Owens with 19. 
  • Alyssa White hit .750. She finished with seven kills and five blocks.

Scouting Quinnipiac
  • Marist is looking for itssecond win against Quinnipiac this season after a 3-0 sweep in their first matchup on Sept. 25
  • Marist won by scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.
  • Quinnipiac is 2-10 overall with a 1-4 record in conference play.
  • Quinnipiac's lone conference victory came from a 3-2 win over Siena on Sept. 24.
  • The Bobcats are coming off a 3-0 loss to Fairfield this past Saturday.
Scouting Siena
  • The Saints hold a 23-37 all-time record over the Red Foxes.
  • Their last matchup resulted in a 3-2 win for the Saints in 2021. The teams split the regular-season series last year.
  • The Siena Saints are 5-11 overall with a 3-3 conference record.
  • Siena won its last two matches against Rider and Saint Peter's last weekend.
Up Next
  • The Red Foxes will have three matches next week starting with an away contestat Fairfield on Oct. 12.
  • Following that, Marist will host both Canisius and Niagara on Oct. 15 & Oct. 16, respectively.
