POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist College student-athletes and other groups and organizations around campus participated in a school wide Walk Against Hunger on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The event was part of the College's celebration of hunger awareness during the month of November.Â

The walk started at the Champagnat breezeway, continued toward Sheahan Hall, headed down past Tenney Stadium, out of the South Gate, up Route 9, in through the college's Main Gate and back to Champagnat. The walk lasted roughly 30 minutes and participants donated $3 to take part in the great event.

Marist Campus ministry, the largest club on campus, takes the lead on Hunger Awareness Month in November each year.

Hunger Awareness Month focuses attention and action on the problem of hunger locally, nationally, and globally, with the goal of raising money to help feed the hungry.
