POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray has announced that head women's soccer coach
Brittany Kolmel has stepped down due to personal reasons.
Kolmel had a record of 10-15-8 over the last three years, which included a 7-10-5 mark in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play. After a shortened season due to COVID-19 restrictions in the Spring of 2021, Marist qualified for the MAAC Championships in each of the last two seasons.
In Kolmel's tenure,
Natalie Kelchner was named MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2021. The Red Foxes had seven All-MAAC honorees plus an All-Rookie Team selection over the last three years. In the 2021 season, the program set a record with 23 selections to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
A national search for Kolmel's replacement will begin immediately.
