NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, New York - The Marist women's basketball team drops final game of series against Niagara Thursday night. With a score fo 85-67, Marist falls to 6-15 overall and 4-9 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play. Niagara moves to 9-13 overall and 7-7 in conference play. 
 

Summary

• Marist and Niagara started the game strong with four lead changes. The Red Foxes would find their last lead of the half with 4:48 remaining in the first quarter.
• The Purple Eagles would add to their lead with a 10-0 run of 3:53 with five minutes left in the quarter.
• For the first half, Marist shot 32.3 percent from the field and did not score a three in the half. Niagara shot 52.9 percent from the field and collected eight three-pointers in the first half.
• Niagara would continue to fire on all cylinders, building up its largest margin of the game of 30 points, 52-26 by the second half.
• The Red Foxes battled from behind with a couple mini runs to cut the Purple Eagles lead but despite outscoring Niagara 25-19 in the fourth quarter, the Purple Eagles would close out the game with a win, 85-67.

• The Red Foxes had three players scoring in double figures, Anabel Ellison (15) Catie Cunningham (13), and Kendall Krick (12).
• Ellison and Cunningham both notched career highs in points.
• In the second half, Marist shot 48 percent from the field and 75 percent from three. Scoring six three pointers in the second half.
• Aaliyah Parker of Niagara collected a double-double, 12 points and 11 rebounds.
• Niagara was led in points by Angel Parker (19).
