The Red Foxes Final Matchup With the Bobcats Comes At a Crucial Time

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's basketball team will host the Quinnipiac Bobcats at McCann Arena on Thursday, February 24th. The game is set to start at 11:00 a.m. The Red Foxes are trying to find some type of rhythm as the year comes to a close and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament starts.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Marist women's basketball team defeated Rider Monday night in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup by a score of 70-62.
  • Kendall Krick led the Red Foxes in points and bested her career high of 14 points, finishing the game with 20 points. Krick shot 7-of-10 (.700) from the field and 2-of-4 (.500) from three for the game.
  • Anabel Ellison tied her career high points in points with 19. For the game, Ellison collected three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals.
  • Krick and Ellison were the only Red Foxes that scored in double figures.
  • For the game, Marist shot 43.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three. Rider shot 41.2 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from behind the arc for the game.
 
VS QUINNIPIAC
  • Marist has an all-time record of 7-15 against the Quinnipiac Bobcats.
  • Their last matchup came earlier this month, where Marist fell 50-61.
  • Marist shot .362 from the field and .143 from three-point territory. Quinnipiac shot .455 from the field and .182 from three. The Bobcats won he rebound battle 42-22.
  • Marist has lost the last two games against the Bobcats.

  • Following their matchup against Quinnipiac, Marist will play their final two games of the regular season next week. First, they will travel to West Long Branch, New Jersey to wrap up the season series against Monmouth on March 2nd. Then they will be back to finish the year with a matchup against Manhattan at home. That game is on March 5th, set to tip-off at 7 p.m.
