Women’s Tennis Prepares for Back-to-Back Matches on the Road

The Red Foxes Looking for Wins this Weekend

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's tennis team hits the road for two matches this weekend. Their first match is against Army at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 26th in West Point, New York. After that, they will take on Hofstra University at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 27th in Hempstead, New York.
 

LAST TIME OUT
 
  • In doubles, the Red Foxes lost all three matches to Bucknell, losing the doubles point.
  • In singles, the Red Foxes didn't fare much better, and they were swept there too.
  • Sophomore Jane Bockman had her first career start in the first position slot.
  • Bucknell swept the Red Foxes, 0-5.

 

SCOUTING ARMY
 
  • Army West Point is currently on a 5 game winning streak, and are 11-4 so far this season.
  • Overall, the Red Foxes are 0-13 against Army, with their last meeting ending in a 0-7 loss.

 

SCOUTING HOFSTRA
 
  • The Hofstra Pride is currently 0-3 this season, losing their last match against Fairleigh Dickinson, 1-6.
  • Overall, the Red Foxes are 4-6 against Hofstra, with their last meeting ending in a victory for Marist, 5-2.
