POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women's tennis collected a conference victory over Niagara Saturday night by a score of 5-2.
 
The Purple Eagles started off the match strong sweeping the Red Foxes in doubles, collecting the doubles point. Marist came back fighting in singles, collecting victories in five of the six singles matchups.

Jane Bockman, Deana Giambo, and Ellen Zureick opened the singles match-ups with victories in the first, second, and third positions, respectively, against Niagara. In the fifth position, Lea Lambert defeated the Purple Eagles in a tight three-set match. Andriana Zephiris prevailed in straight sets in sixth singles.

1. Deana Giambo / Jane Bockman (MARIST) vs. Erika Gonzalez / Jaida Borg (NIA.), 3-6.
2. Ellen Zureick / Vanessa Ciano (MARIST) vs. Madigan Humiston / Coral Rodriguez (NIA.), 5-7.
3. Lea Lambert / Andriana Zaphiris (MARIST) vs. Kirah Regales / Emma Shea (NIA.), 3-6.
