POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist baseball team gets its second crack at MAAC competition this weekend, as the Red Foxes travel to Loudonville, New York to play Siena in three games.

(Update - Friday's game has been postponed. The Red Foxes and Saints will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. The teams will play a single game on Sunday at 1).

Last Time Out
  • Marist lost to Merrimack 11-2 on Tuesday.  

  • John Hacker got the loss for the Red Foxes, although only allowing two earned runs in three innings pitched.  

  • Marist kept it close for most of the game, with timely walks and hits to get runs across the plate.  

  • The Red Foxes were only down by two until a seven-run eighth inning by the Warriors put the game away.  

  • A bright spot for Marist, freshman Nathan Lincoln had three hits in four at-bats on Tuesday.

  • In the all-time series, Marist holds a slight edge over Siena 39-37. The Red Foxes are currently on a four-game win streak against Siena.  

  • The last time these two met, it was a decisive 10-2 victory for Marist.  

  • Siena is 5-17 this season. The Saints lost nine straight to start the season. 

  • However, Siena is 3-0 in conference play.  

  • As a team, Siena is hitting .240, have hit 16 home runs and get on base at a rate of .335.  

  • The Saints are led by junior Matt Livingston, who is batting .346 this season.
