POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist Women's Lacrosse team fell to the Vermont Catamounts with a final score of 16-5 on Wednesday Afternoon.
• Gabrielle Orlando had two back-to-back saves five minutes into the game.
• The Catamounts struck first at the 8:16 mark to open the game.
• Melissa Bucher scored for the Red Foxes with the clock at 2:43 to tie the game 1-1.
• To open the second quarter, Vermont scored at 13:48 (2-1), then once more at 11:15 to make it 3-1.
• The Red Foxes responded at 9:40 to make it 3-2 with another goal by Melissa Bucher.
• At 3:51, Vermont scored to extend their lead to 4-2.
• The clock dialed down to :12 seconds and Alex Di Chiara scored to enter halftime with a score of 4-3.
• To begin the third quarter, Vermont scored with a free position shot to hold the lead at 5-3.

Delaney Hayes scored at the 10:45 mark to put the scoreboard at 5-4.
• Olivia Arntsen continued the Red Foxes' momentum with a goal at 9:31 to tie the game 5-5.
• The Catamounts responded less than a minute later at 8:40 to take a 6-5 lead.
• Vermont scored at 7:26 (7-5), then at 5:58 to extend the lead to 8-5.
• With 2:31 left in the third quarter, Vermont scored to keep the lead at 9-5.
• Another free-position shot for the Catamounts extended their lead to 10-5.
• Vermont later scored with :24 seconds on the clock to make the score 11-5.
• At the start of the fourth quarter, Vermont scored at 13:03 to extend the lead to 12-5.
• Three minutes later at 9:33 (14-5) then at 7:06 to make it 15-5.
• The last goal of the game was at 1:14 when Vermont scored to make the final score 16-5.
• Melissa Bucher had her first career multi-goal game with two goals..
• Sophia Georgopoulos led the Red Foxes with three ground balls.
• Vermont's Grace Giancola led the game with four goals
• Ava Vasile led the Catamounts with six points and three goals.
