WEST LONG BRANCH, New Jersey - The Marist women's lacrosse team fell to Monmouth by a final score of 18-9 on Saturday afternoon. 
 

First Quarter

• Monmouth struck first with a goal to open it 1-0 at the 14:00 mark.
• Cameron Maruca scored for Marist at 13:15 to tie it 1-1.
• Monmouth responded with a goal at 12:49 to lead 2-1.
• The Hawks momentum continued with a goal at 10:20 (3-1), then 8:47 to make it 4-1.
• Monmouth scored at 7:46 (5-1), then 6:46 to lead 6-1.
• The Hawks' offense made it 7-1 at 6:00, then 8-1 at 4:57.
• Monmouth scored at 2:07 (9-1), then 1:44 to extend the lead to 10-1.  
• The Hawks closed the quarter with a goal with one second remaining to make it 11-1.

Second Quarter

• To open the second quarter, Monmouth scored at 6:22 to make it 12-1.
• Kelly Trotta scored at the 2:56 mark, to make it 12-2.
• Monmouth responded at 1:51 to extend the lead to 13-2.

Third Quarter

• At the start of the third quarter, Melissa Bucher scored at 11:23 to make it 13-3.
• Alana Tavares followed with a Red Fox goal at 8:38 to make it 13-4.
• Less than a minute later, Monmouth scored at 7:24 to lead 14-4.
• The Hawks made it 15-4 with a goal at 5:08 on the clock.
• Delaney Hayes recorded a goal at 3:34 to make it 15-5.

Fourth Quarter

• To open the fourth quarter, Monmouth scored at 13:20 to extend the lead to 16-5.
• Trotta collected a goal at 11:02 to make it 16-6.
• Monmouth scored at 7:57 (17-6), then 7:13 to lead 18-6.
• The clock dialed down to 4:32 and Trotta scored to make it 18-7.
• Hannah Spease made it 18-8 with a goal at 2:27.
• Tavares scored the final goal of the game to end it at 18-9.
