Red Foxes Fall to Lions in Big Apple

Noriega Goes 3-for-4 with Home Run

NEW YORK, New York – The Marist baseball team fell to Columbia University on Wednesday by a score of 15-7. The Red Foxes move to 18-14 on the season.

Summary
  • Columbia struck early, scoring five runs in the bottom of the second inning.  

  • Marist tied it in the fourth thanks to hits by Gavin Noriega, Donnie Stone, and Niko Amory. 

  • Columbia scored four more runs in the fourth and fifth, going up 9-5 on Marist.  

  • A Noriega home run and a Johnny Decker double brought the Red Foxes back within two runs at 9-7. 

  • From there, the Lions took over, scoring six unanswered runs.
