POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist Athletics Department released the football team's 2022 schedule on Thursday. The Red Foxes' 11-game schedule will include six home contests at Tenney Stadium, including two opponents who will be making their first trip to Poughkeepsie.
 
Here is a closer look at the 2022 schedule:
 

Saturday, Sept. 3 – vs. Georgetown

• 23^rd all-time meeting between the teams.
• Marist also opened the season against the Hoyas in 2018 and 2019.

 

Saturday, Sept. 10 – bye

 

Saturday, Sept. 17 – vs. Columbia

• First time the Red Foxes' start with back-to-back home games since 2016.
• Sixth all-time meeting between the teams.
• This is the Lions' second trip to Poughkeepsie; the first occurred in 2017.

 

Saturday, Sept. 24 – at Drake

• PFL opener
• 10^th all-time meeting between the teams.
• Marist defeated Drake 7-0 in the 2021 season.

 

Saturday, Oct. 1 – vs. St. Thomas

• Family Weekend
• This will be the second meeting between the teams, and the Tommies' first trip to Poughkeepsie.

 

Saturday, Oct. 8 – at Stetson

• Ninth all-time meeting between the teams.
• Marist defeated Stetson 34-3 in the 2021 season.

 

Saturday, Oct. 15 – vs. Dayton

• 13^th all-time meeting between the teams.
• Marist defeated Dayton 20-17 in the 2021 season.

 

Saturday, Oct. 22 – vs. Butler

• Seventh all-time meeting between the teams.
• This is Marist's first trip to Butler since the 2016 season.

 

Saturday, Oct. 29 – vs. Presbyterian

• Homecoming & Reunion Weekend at Marist College
• This will be the second meeting between the teams, and Presbyterian's first trip to Poughkeepsie.

 

Saturday, Nov. 5 – at Morehead State

• Eighth all-time meeting between the teams.
• Marist's first trip to Morehead State since 2018.

 

Saturday, Nov. 12 – vs. Valparaiso

• Senior Day
• 11^th all-time meeting between the teams.
• Marist prevailed 27-24 in overtime in the 2021 season.

 

Saturday, Nov. 19 – at Bucknell

• 14^th meeting between the teams.
• First game between the Red Foxes and Bison since 2017.

 
Game times will be released at a later date.
 
Marist's Spring Game is set for Friday at 6 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. The game is free to attend and open to the public.
