Marist got the scoring started in the first inning when Robbie Armitage hit a two-run home run to left center. 

In the bottom of the fourth inning Dylan Hoy hit a two-RBI double to put the Red Foxes up 4-0. 

Gavin Noriega hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to extend the lead to 6-0. 

Brian Hart singled in the bottom of the seventh to bring in two more runs and make it 8-0. Hoy followed that up with an RBI single to center field. Then Marco Ali and Reece Armitage each hit a two-RBI single. Robbie Armitage then hit his second homer of the day with a three-run shot to push the lead to 16-0. Peter Dudunakis kept it rolling with an RBI single and then Danny Moshier got a two-RBI single to make it 19-0. Marco Ali scored the 20th run of the day for the Red Foxes after a passed ball. Devin Boone capped the inning off with a triple down the right field line to bring in two more runs and make it 22-0. 

Iona got their first and only run of the game with an RBI double in the top of the eighth. 

In the bottom of the eighth Dylan Hoy hit a two-run home run to make the score 24-1.

Erubiel Candelario pitched 6.2 innings allowing three hits, zero runs while striking out 10. 

The Red Foxes scored 24 runs on 18 hits. 

Nine different Red Foxes recorded at least one RBI, with Robbie Armitage and Dylan Hoy leading the way with five. Danny Moshier, Reece Armitage, Devin Boone, Gavin Noriega, Brian Hart, and Marco Ali had two each. 

Eleven different Red Foxes recorded at least one hit, with Hoy leading the way with three. Reece Armitage, Robbie Armitage, Hart, Johnny Decker, and Ali had two..  

Marist will go for the sweep of Iona on Sunday at 1 p.m.  

The Red Foxes improve to 23-14 on the season (12-5 in the conference).
