POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's tennis team will play three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matches against Monmouth, Quinnipiac, and Fairfield between Friday and Monday. 
 

SCHEDULE

• Friday, April 8 - vs Monmouth - 12:45 p.m.
• Saturday, April 9 - at Quinnipiac - 3:15 p.m. 
• Monday, April 10 - vs Fairfield - Noon

 

LAST TIME OUT

• Marist was defeated by Siena 6-1 on April 2.
• In doubles, the lone win for the Red Foxes came from Deana Giambo and Lea Lambert in the second position, 6-4.
• In singles, Giambo's success continued as she won in the first position 6-1, 6-3.
• The loss drops the women to 3-7 overall and is their first in-conference loss.

 

Scouting Monmouth

• The Monmouth Hawks are 3-8 this season, and they have yet to play a conference game.
• The Hawks have found themselves in a bit of a rough patch, with their last five games all resulting in losses.
• They recently took on Army, and lost that match, 4-0.
• They take on Fairfield before Marist: a team they're 2-5 against overall.
• Against the Hawks, the Red Foxes remain undefeated, boasting an 8-0 overall record. Their most recent meeting ended in a 7-0 shutout from the Red Foxes on Oct 4, 2019.

 

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC

• The Bobcats are 8-7 this season and 2-0 in conference.
• Since Mar. 13, Quinnipiac has won six matches in a row.
• Their two in-conference wins came against Niagara (5-2) and Monmouth (7-0).
•  The Bobcats are 6-2 at home this season, posing quite the challenge for a traveling Marist team.

 

SCOUTING FAIRFIELD

• The Fairfield Stags are 6-9 this season, and 1-1 in the MAAC.
• Their most recent match was a 3-4 loss to Niagara.
• Against the Stags, the Red Foxes are 14-11, with their most recent meeting ending in a 4-1 victory for Fairfield on April 27, 2019.
