Softball Has Season Come to End

Red Foxes Fall to Siena at MAAC Championship

BUFFALO, New York – The Marist softball team had its season come to an end on Friday. The fifth-seeded Red Foxes fell to third-seeded Siena, 3-1, on the third day of the MAAC Championship.
 
Summary
  • Shea Walsh walked to lead off the game. She stole second, went to third when the throw went into center, and scored on a two-out single by Miah McDonald.
  • In the bottom of the second, Emma McLaughlin's two-out single brought home Shannon Bonewit, which tied the score at one.
  • The Red Foxes loaded the bases in the top of the fourth, but were unable to score.
  • Siena scored twice in the bottom of the fourth. Jocelyn Ulrich's double brought home Mikala Fletcher, and Ulrich later came around to score.
  • The Red Foxes were retired in order in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings.
